I'm Jack F Vorwald, a Software Engineering Manager

As a Software Engineering Manager, I lead two US-based teams focused on Platform and Operating System protocols, driving critical protocol feature improvements and OS updates that enhance performance for enterprise customers. My technical expertise spans diverse domains including S3 Edge backend API development and internal OS protocol stack implementation. As a Principal Software Engineer, I serve as a subject matter expert across multiple product domains, providing strategic guidance while translating high-level epics into actionable user stories. My technical toolkit includes Python, Django, JavaScript, RHEL directives, and bash scripting to deliver comprehensive solutions while mentoring new engineering talent.

Beyond my 15+ years in software engineering, I've dedicated 20 years to martial arts training. I hold two black belts — one in Kenpo Karate and most recently in Taekwondo, which I continue to practice actively with my wife. We're currently working toward achieving our 2nd Dan in Taekwondo. This martial arts journey complements my professional work, instilling discipline and focus that enhances my approach to technical challenges. When not coding or training, I pursue my passions for gaming, music, and content creation, bringing a unique blend of technical expertise and creative energy to everything I do.
